ISLAND OF ST LUCIA

I like to call St Lucia the Hawaii of the Caribbean.  It is very mountainous and the majestic Piton Mountains are a huge highlight of the trip.  It’s natural beauty is what the island is really known for.  Also a huge bonus for the island that honeymooners really seem to like is that it has All Inclusive resorts unlike Hawaii that doesn’t have any. The snorkeling and diving in St Lucia has some of the best spots in the Caribbean.  There is so much to see and do on the island; so this is the perfect island for the adventurous traveler and people who want to explore the island and experience the local culture.

Here is a picture of myself while zip lining through the lush tress of St Lucia on an excursion with a local guide.  This was a great zip-lining experience because the lines were surrounded by lush trees and you felt like you were just soaring along and didn’t have the feeling of being so high above the ground.

Here is my list of top resorts on the Island of St Lucia for Honeymooners:

Adults Only All Inclusive Resorts

This resort is one of the top resorts for Honeymooners. It is set in a beautiful cove area on a great stretch of beach and has calm waters which is great for the included water-sports. It is set on a peninsula so you have the Caribbean Sea overlooking the beach and on the other side you have the deep blue ocean hue’s. Right outside your resort is Pigeon Island National Park which you can pay a small fee to enter and hike to some of the most beautiful views in St Lucia. The resort is also known for it’s Over The Water Bungalows as well as the Over the Water Chapel for clients looking to do a Destination Wedding.

This resort is truly an island Oasis.  The resort is built into the cliffs on part of the resort giving some of the suites an unbelievable view of the Caribbean Sea.  I call it a resort inside of a resort due to the fact that some of the rooms are built nestled away up in the Bluff section of the resort away from the main pool area where a lot of the activities of the day happen.  So if your looking for more of a quiet atmosphere you can spend the day up the hill in the Bluff section in a quieter pool (swim-up bar here as well) overlook the beautiful Caribbean Sea from above.  Or sometimes you are looking to have a more inclusive day and spend it getting to know other guests and have some fun at the main pool; going back and fourth to the beach then this resort is perfect for you.  The beach is stunning at this resort; however the water does tend to be a bit wavier here than at the Grande; so if water sports are what you are after I would suggest the Grande.  OR you can stay here and take the included Free shuttle over to the Grande and use their water sports all day and then come back to your resort in the evening.  The options are endless.

This resort has recently had an overhaul on it’s rooms and is absolutely stunning.  It is a smaller resort and referred to as “A True Garden of Eden by a Tranquil Sea” and that it is.  The gardens of this resort and how the rooms intertwine in them is so beautiful.  The resort is a lot quieter and tends to bring an more relaxed and repeat clientele.  If your looking for a more intimate resort which a great stretch of beach and don’t mind traveling sometimes to the other resorts for meal to get more of a variety of options then this is your resort.

When you stay at any of the Sandals Resorts in St Lucia you have access to not only your resort but all 3 Sandals Resorts with the Sandals Exchange Program. Sandals will shuttle you to the other resorts, which are all within 20 minutes of each other.
Staying at any of the Sandals in St Lucia with the exchange program you get to enjoy 3 resorts, 11 pools, 11 whirlpools, 27 restaurants, 21 bars, and 2 golf courses.

Luxury NON-All Inclusive Resorts

This is one of the most iconic resorts in the Caribbean. You have seen the photos many times of the rooms built into the cliff side with their own personal infinity edge pool. This resort does offer an All-Inclusive plan or pay as you go plan for food & drinks. I have had clients do it both ways. Typically my clients stay at one of the Sandals resorts above for 5 or 6 nights and they like to end here for 2 or 3 nights to get the experience but also have the all-inclusive factor for most of the vacation. This open aired resort is family owned and is absolutely stunning.
